AUDIENCE: The verb Perfecting means continuously improving. Designed for corporate staff development and offered to the general public, Perfect is a Verb talks explain how organizations and people make that happen.
FORMAT: Perfect is a Verb talks are motivational, informative exchanges of ideas. Dr. Hines addresses one question, suggested by the program host, in the style of a 20 minute TED Talk. The balance of the one hour event consists of an “open mic” question and answer session. Co-presenters participate for selected topics.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Dr. Douglas Hines is an entrepreneur, writer and consultant who has addressed audiences around the world on a wide variety of topics. He is the founder of The VARI Group, a consulting and technology company now d/b/a (Doing Business As) PerfectCoaches. In 2019 he was awarded US Patent 10,249,212 for a process to change human behavioral attributes.
He began his career as a research assistant in the neurosciences laboratory of Friends of Psychiatric Research, earning his Ph.D. in applied social psychology at the University of Maryland. He has taught in the Robert H. Smith School of Business and the Institute for Systems Research at the University of Maryland. He was a Partner/Principal at KPMG before starting his own company,
In his book Life’s Seven PerfectCoaches and the app associated with it, Dr. Hines has curated the latest thinking on best practices for organizational development and personal growth. An experienced professor and consultant who has also dabbled in stand up comedy, his goal is a lively discussion that answers questions and raises new ones.
